Wind Chime Garden

Six small tuned tubes hang from a beam. Tap one — or drag a finger or cursor across several — and it rings a soft bell tone, built fresh in this tab out of oscillators, no samples involved. Turn on the ambient breeze below and the garden will start striking itself at random, slowly, forever, whether or not you're still here. This isn't the ambient mixer down the hall: nothing loops, nothing blends. Every ring is its own small event, deliberate or accidental. There's no score, no correct order, and no way to lose.

The chimes

Tap or click a chime, or press Tab to reach one and Enter / Space to strike it. On a mouse or touchscreen, press and drag across several to run them in sequence.

Nothing struck yet.

0 strikes

One localStorage key (sandbag.windchime.v1) remembers whether the breeze was on and how many times you have personally struck a chime — the breeze's own random self-strikes don't count toward that tally, only yours do. Sound always needs a fresh strike on every visit, breeze included; nothing plays on load, and nothing here is ever sent anywhere.
