The Complaint Box

Type a complaint. Submit it. Receive an official-sounding ticket number and a status log that begins, immediately, to grow. It will be acknowledged, reviewed, escalated, transferred, reopened, and returned to queue, in a genuinely varied bureaucratic voice — forever. Nothing is ever actually resolved. That's not a bug. That's the entire toy.

Tab to the field, type, then Tab to the button and press Enter or Space — or press Ctrl/Cmd+Enter from inside the box.

This is a complaint filing simulator. Every ticket number and every status update is invented on the spot, in this browser, by a small seeded random generator — nothing is transmitted, reviewed, or filed anywhere real. Updates appear when you press Check status, and slowly on their own while this tab stays open. No ticket is ever resolved; a status that looks like a resolution will, given enough time, get reopened. Up to 30 tickets and roughly 250 status updates per ticket are kept in this browser under one storage key, sandbag.complaintbox.v1, so they survive a reload.
